Planning Officers tell MP decision will be made by them, not a Panel of Councillors

Greg Mulholland has been told by the Chief Planning Officer that the Reserved Matters decision does not need to go before a Plans Panel, despite the plans proposed in it being significantly different to those given outline approval in the following ways:

  • less public open space;
  • more bedrooms;
  • change of likely occupier from young families or couples to student occupiers;
  • non-specification of use of space formerly for a retail store;
  • inaccuracy of application form given current proposals and
  • no neighbour notification
